Sega cd screenshot rapidshare

It's the hardest SOR game ever, and I have played all of the fan versions as well. The difficulty really needs to be looked at; easy is definitely NOT easy at all!

The game itself is unbelievable because it has a song or band or whatever the hell Prodigy is you like? Shit, if i wanted to hear Prodigy i'd just go play "Burnout 3" I have an entire soundtrack of their first album and remixes just for use in game. But i'd be more interested in the remixed SOR tunes more than anything. Any chance of this seeing a full console release as other homebrew games have?

Would be nice to be able to play this on the Sega CD, especially if it could include three- or four-player support. Great remake. Finished it a few minutes ago, Axel rules, he's gotta be the best Streets of Rage character ever. Great article too :. The Prodigy-like remix is Spin on the Bridge. I took the vocals from some old rap song which they had also used. Already beat it at easy.

Now trying normal. The game is great specially the music but many bugs in it. Does anyone know what must be done to fight the woman in the heli? That's exactly it. Care to make any more brash conclusions? It's the icing on the cake. Like I said before, it's the little things. Is it just me or is his directed special move extremely weak? I don't remember if SOR1 had special moves. LOL when was the last time you heard that store?

I'm going to merge this thread with the one for the article on it. No sense in having two threads on the same topic. Ugh, I go to stage 8 on mania without wasting a continue and the damn thing crashed. So far only 8 people downloaded from my site. Looks like they might have fixed that server issue they were having. Well, various people in my area claim that Woolworths was founded in my city.

However according to wikipedia The claim is made because Woolworth, employed as a clerk in Moore's Store, set up a successful clearance display of low-priced items, which led to his idea of a store specializing in fixed-price cut-rate merchandise. Oh yeah, and my city is where the Little Trees, aka, Car-Fresheners came from. I'm downloading Part 2 now and its doing much much better.

I have been playing it since day 1, and it is truly an awesome work. The redesign of stages is noticeably and looks great. The branching paths is also a good thing in terms of replayability. I love the extras. The game is full of them, like the additional playing modes, artworks excellent job here , customization feature, or theathre mode.

And the music. This is one of the best features. Those remixes are very good, specially some like the robot factory stage, the boss music, or the final boss tune I LOVE this one. There also some new tunes which are pretty good, like the one in the beginning of the Stage 2. Too bad these new tunes are few. The mayor complain I have, is the absence of using the superior SOR3 playability style. I mean, except the running feature, the rest is SOR2-style.

The upgrade system of SOR3 is also no more. Nor even perfoming those techniques with the X button. It has the consequence of lacking cool attacks like the SOR3 rotating and uppercut of Axel. Although the running feature has been enhanced with the possibility of running into vertical directions while going straight, you can't perfom specific running attacks with the weapons.

Anyway, my personal congrats to the Bombergames team. I have been following their progress about 3 years now, and it was worthy enough. It is a great game that successfully recaptures the essence of the series and becomes into what a classic SOR game truly is.

I honestly wasn't expecting much from this, so I must say that I was absolutely blown away by the quality of this game. I'm playing it using my Logitech RumblePad 2, and it plays beautifully. The branching paths are certainly a welcome addition, as are the enhanced graphics. Regarding the lack of SoR3 features, however, I couldn't care less. I never really cared much for SoR3, and SoR2 is widely considered to be the best game in the series. Sure, the run feature is nice, but I'm actually glad that the overall gameplay feel is most similar to that of SoR2.

Oh, and I love the fact that the sound effects are so true to the Genesis originals. I'm curious, though…aren't some of the sound effects from Beyond Oasis another Genesis game?

I'm referring to some of the enemy death yells, although I'm sure that other sound effects in this game could be from other sources. In either case, wonderful choices are far as audio is concerned.

I'm a tad bit disappointed in the character graphics, though. They look like nothing more than Genesis sprites when played through emulators that smooth the graphics, causing them to look more like vectors. Redrawn sprites would've been nice. Still, I suppose that it's faithful to the originals, for the most part, so it's all good. BTW im not so fond anymore with gh. I didn't have time to finish all of my work for the release, and I had to reinstall Windows last month so I couldn't load my source files properly as I had to set up all my stuff again.

I'm not talking about other aspects like levels, enemies, bosses, general designs or something like that here. I'm just saying that the characters controls, undoubtely, are better in SOR3, as I detailed before. It's on the contrary. It was due to Yuzo Koshiro's involvement in the music and sounds of this game, just like it was in the other mentioned games. The same death yell can be heard in Sword of Vermilion, which Koshiro had no involvement in. It's a stock sound effect that has been used in other games as well.

I think this game should be possible on 32x, and on dreamcast of course. Maybe someday someone will transfer it to this console. Ah, I didn't think of the fact that Beyond Oasis might've been the one doing the borrowing. By the way, does anyone else agree that one of the death yells again, one that also appeared in BO sounds a lot like Pee-Wee Herman?

There's a Dreamcast port on planning. I don't think they would carry it over the 32x or Mega CD however. I guess there would be some technical issues like colour enhancements, transparencies and some effects despite the general Mega Drive feeling of the game. Ya know, this hopefully and BOR are the two things that keep my Dreamcast alive. Has the game's difficulty been tweaked to make it any less difficult?

With a keyboard; it is impossible. You know, the only characters that can't do the weapon attack are Axel, Adam and Max. Axel can't cuz the developers used his SOR2 sprites instead of his BK3 ones which I don't understand why and they would have to edit his sprites to give him one like how they did with his run.

Max came from SOR2 so he don't have one. Adam is a complete edit so he doesn't have one either but Skate, Blaze and Zan have some.
