This is specifically NOT about "Play to The failure occurs with all three. All other Xbox apps are working correctly with all three machines. Immediately after Xbox startup, the System Music Player will correctly enumerate Albums exactly and only once after lengthy delay. An album can be selected and music plays correctly. If not, add them. I found it helpful that I renamed my Zune collection to something distinct from my desktop collection as explained in step 5. This made my Zune rebuild it's entire library based on all the available music files.
It took a few minutes, but after it was done I could now see my PC's music library which had been renamed to the Zune collection name I chose in step 3 in the system music player and it works just like it did when I had Win 7 installed on my machine!!! If I own it, I should be able to play it. Maybe they should just stick to what they know I'm angry enough that it'll be a fair amount of time before I'll consider paying for it.
I was already abandoned by these knuckleheads once with MSN Music. And Zune didn't fair any better. Trust is pretty mangled. Sorry, the more I think about this, the angrier that I get.

The files are of MP3 format, and for the Homegroup, the xbox itself is not Windows 7 so it says it cannot home group it.. Any other Ideas? Have you setup a Homegroup? Because you don't need any PCs in it, but you do need to set one up.
Ok, I've found out how to create a homegroup, but, it says i have to enable Ipv6 connectivity Now what! Is this a fresh install of Windows 7 or an upgrade from Vista, because it sounds like some of the sharing stuff didn't go right. I also allowed the the way I advised earlier and then it all worked. You could try doing a repair by booting into the installation DVD, this will just make sure no system files are dodgey, though you should do a full backup of your files just in case.
But first, I would go to WMP12, go to library and highlight everything. Hit Delete, then make sure you choose Remove From Library only, you don't want to delete all your music. I would back-up all your music first just to be safe. Then go to your music folder, highlight everything and drag it into the WMP12 library.
This will recreate your library. Then in WMP12 hit the Stream button near the search box. Then 'More Streaming Options'. Hit Choose Homegroup and Sharing options. At this point I can only advise based on the screen I get. Make sure you have Music, Videos checked, if that doesn't work try the share with all devices on my network. Make sure you Save Changes.
