I have just started researching these registry options and while some do look promising, they only seem to address modest performance issues, not a full-blown system lock-up. Select Disk 1 by left-Clicking on the left label. Right-click on Disk 1 and select Initialize Disk. Make sure that both Disk 0 and Disk 1 are selected in the next dialog and click OK.
